Traveling around Europe is one of most researched routes to go on vacation, and as it couldn’t be different, we traveled around Europe for 28 days and we visited 7 countries: Italy, Switzerland, France, England, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany. For that route, we took buses and trains, once they are the most affordable and used means of transportation to move about.
IS IT REALLY CHEAP TO TRAVEL
AROUND EUROPE BY BUS AND TRAIN?
Yes! Bearing in mind the other means of transportation, traveling by bus or train gets cheaper, and the roads are amazing! Although it takes a little long time, it’s rewarding to gaze out a beautiful landscape.
There are a lot of companies which offer that kind of service. It’s possible even here in Brazil to hire the company in advance to take that tour. We know companies Special Tour e Eurotrip – (a group with thousands of people that checks a lot of kinds of transportation around Europe).
Ideally, you should check and pick which one meets your expectations.
During that trip, we hired the transfers from one city to another by the company Special Tour, where it’s possible for you to choose the nationality of the guide who will do the routes, and also access the route and schedule of departure time, tour stops and arrival at a certain hotel.
Everything is very well organized. By an app in your mobile, you can follow all the development of your route, talk to the company and even give suggestions, including a little change in the range or stop.

The attendants are highly qualified and available to help you. As it was our first trip abroad, hiring the transfers made it easier, as we optimized the trip time to visit more places around the cities.
We also must highlight that, when we got to a new city, the company did a city tour around the main touristic attractions, and the stopover point was downtown. They also provide exclusive tours paid aside and, if you are interested and think it’s profitable, you can pay right away and keep on your tour.
We had two opportunities to go by train, in the journey from Frankfurt to Berlin by high-speed train, once there are 500 kilometers between them, and in the journey from Paris to London, where we used the Channel Tunnel, and we got cheap tickets by the company Raileurope, and we chose taking the journey in the evening.
We went on second class, but it was very comfortable and we could sleep during the journey. For who likes to travel and is not concerned about luxury, that’s an awesome tip, traveling in the evening saves in lodging and you also pay cheaper. It is worthwhile!
GROUP TRAVELING SAFETY:
We were afraid due to the attacks that happened that moment in Europe and, as it was the first big trip, we had no experience and let alone an alternative language for emergency cases. That’s why I say it is very worthwhile and group traveling is very safe. We made friends with the other Brazilian couples who traveled with us, some ones only in a part of our route and other ones in all the journey. We arranged to take some tours around the city and we could bargain a better price for the tour, once we were a higher amount of people, after all day long together, and in the end of the day we did a happy hour at the pubs and restaurants, while if we were alone, we would stay only in the hotel.
We’ve learned a lot about trips with the couples who had been in a lot of countries in the world, and a long time after the trip, we met each other again here in Brazil and we’ve been keeping in touch so far.
