That city is really amazing! It’s the most agitated one that we have visited during our trip so far, maybe for its great beaches of all the so-called Costa Brava. At many of those beaches, topless, or even nakedness (nudes, lol), is normal, and see that the beaches are not so isolated like the ones in Brazil, but we weren’t courageous enough to do it yet.
There are a lot of touristic attractions to be visited, and we’ll talk a little about each one we went through, for you to know what one you should choose, whenever you go there.
Manresa
Before getting to Barcelona, we got the train and visited some friends and the small town of Manresa, located 60 Km far from there. We paid 6.30 euros (26 Reais), we went through some wonderful landscapes, such as the mountains of Montserrat. We didn’t visit it, but we definitely will next time, once it’s very worthwhile! There is a very beautiful basilica built in 1328, and we also went through little squares, the main street, always very agitated, with so many little stores.

Canet de Mar and Castle of Game of Thrones
When researching about lodging, we always analyze the prices of the main cities and the close ones. We also consider the price of transportation, and as Barcelona has a great system, we found a perfect place in Canet de Mar, 45 minutes far by train, where the seawater is lively blue. There are a lot of pubs, restaurants, bakeries and grocery stores.
We also discovered an excellent place to visit, the castle of Santa Florentina, where some chapters of Game of Thrones were shot. For who watched the series, it was the house of Sam and his family, Tarly. That castle is well hidden by the vegetation, and can be visited for only 7 euros (30 Reais). The visit usually lasts an average of 45 minutes, but we found it very cool and fun when we walked through the gardens. That’s impossible not to remember of the scenes that took place there.
We went there on foot, as our Airbnb was 5 minutes far from the castle. Who wants to go there by train since Barcelona just has to stop at Canet station and walk for 10 to 15 minutes around the town, going up to the castle.
We were recommended to visit the beach of ‘Sant Pol de Mar`, very close, where the waters are crystalline. We walked through the coast, but you can go there by train if you want. We really loved the tour and the afternoon at the sea.

Triumphal Arch
It was built to be the entrance door of the first universal exhibition of products of Spain in 1888. It’s in the central region of the city and has countless options very close to visit. They are: Parc de la Ciutadella itself, where you can see a lot of people riding their bikes or scooters (there are a bunch of them to be rented there). The park is huge and there’s even a zoo whose entrance costs 20 euros (85 Reais). There are also a lot of museums such as the one of Pablo Picasso, whose entrance costs 14 euros (60 Reais), but if you go there on the first Sunday of the month or on Thursday afternoon, the entrance is free. We got there by the bus station, which is very close to the arch and we used the train (subway) a lot to go to Manresa, and Canet de Mar.

La Rambla
If you love stores, you’ll love that pedestrian mall. It’s an awesome place among the streets that go up and go down, since Plaça de Catalunya until the old port, where a lot of people take a break for lunch when walking around Barcelona. There are a lot of pubs, restaurants and markets, but the most interesting thing is that the market of St Josep (La Boqueria), with options for everyone, full of everything you can picture to eat, amounts of chocolate, fruits, cheeses, meat. It’s very worthwhile to visit it, and taste the food.
The end of La Rampla avenue provides access to the Marina of Barcelona and L’Aquario Barcelona, wonderful place to take photos and rest at the pier.

Beach of Barceloneta and Montjuic
Who likes beaches? That beach has a lot of options, they may be only gazing out of the view, enjoying with friends or having some diving. And it has a bunch of luxurious places such as casinos, all-top restaurants, marinas with fancy yachts and many options for all of tastes and with all prices.
Point beach much enjoyed by people, even who wants to be more peaceful, be nude and see the crystalline water, you just have to choose one of the countless beaches of the so-called Costa Brava, very close to each other.
Who wants to have an overview of the city must go to the belvedere and gardens of Montjuic, where you can go to by the cable car that costs 12.70 euros (54 Reais), but on the official site, telefericdemontjuic.cat, you can get a discount, or you can go up by car, bus or on foot.

Magic Fountain
After going down from Montjuic, we visited a very beautiful place, where you can see the really spectacular magical fountains! That’s really an aside spectacle. We went there during the day, but it’s recommended to go at certain times in the evening, as there’s an amazing show with lights and sounds, what make the fountains even more beautiful.
Up from the museum (which has free access), there’s an overview of Plaça d’Espanya and Las Arenas shopping mall, where there was bullfighting before, until it was banned.

Works of Gaudi
There are many constructions with differentiated architecture, several shapes and colors around the city, we went learning a little more about their work.
Antonio Gaudi was an architect of the 19th century and made a lot of works spread around Barcelona, the biggest one is the Church of Sacred Family. It’s possible to visit inside that wonderful church, it costs 48 euros (200 reais) per person, the visit is guided and lasts 1:15 minutes (we found it expensive, but who wishes to visit it has that option).

Soccer Stadium of Barcelona
We couldn’t help visiting the stadium of one of the most famous teams in the world, Futbol Club Barcelona, we were very close and we visited its areas and stores. We had a good time and saw the nice structure of that stadium. The price to visit the stadium and the museum is 28 euros (118 reais) each person, with guided visit and access to the field.

Means of Transport
We arrived via a flixbus bus from Montpellier in France, worth 15 Euros (64 reais) each ticket. Once inside the city, we took the subway to our Airbnb. The means of transport are great and very comfortable, it is very easy to use, there are totems where tickets can be purchased 2.30 Euros (10 Reais).
It is possible to rent bikes, scooters, scooters and even suitcases in Barcelona, the company Mou Bikes has good prices, depending on the options you choose, from 5 euros (21 reais).

Safety of the City
For the period we stayed we found it very safe, and we saw a lot of policing in the streets and in the tourist spots. We walked a lot throughout the city during the day and it was very quiet, people are super friendly and helpful. We also avoid walking alone after 9 pm. We love walking around here.

Kind of Currency
The local currency of Barcelona is Euro, in the exchange in dollar for Jun/2019 is $1.00 to 0.90 Euros. We recommend to exchange the currency in a safe place such as an airport or at Exchange, a bank in the city. It’s always good to have the local currency.
Total Expenses
Our expenses in currency (REAIS) in Barcelona during 6 days for the couple were the following:
Feeding: R$113.00 (market, snacks)
Trip: 102,00 (castelo)
Transportation: R$275,00 (bus, train)
Lodging: R$377,00 (Airbnb)
We loved to visit that city, we absolutely have to go back as many times as possible, as we know the regions around it have countless places to be visited. We recommend at least 04 days to visit the main touristic attractions, as there are many ones.
The city has much good energy, tourists everywhere, buying and walking. It’s worthwhile to enjoy some days there.
